Time to face up to difficulties

After the whole saga of getting Qiu to pick me up at the airport and me getting into a whole habit of cleaning the house when I couldn't solve a thing, I woke up one morning to realize that Qiuru is pregnant.

I didn't bother much about my problem and my focus was on her.

She didn't really ask much into details on what has happened, but things for me and her moved so fast, we really didn't bother probing each other any further. Besides, she had probably read enough off the net and don't really need me to say any more.

It is raining heavily outside the window this morning as I climb out of bed to my desk.
It's another day.

It has been almost a week since that event happened, and I have yet to pick up mobile or look at any news off the net. I wonder how did I actually manage to pass this week?

Mum has helped me to look after my work issues and told me to go on vacation.
"Anywhere but here is good." She said. I smiled.

Sometimes, I felt our mother-daughter relationship were never broken since young.

'It's time.' My heart tells me.
I turn on my computer and my mobile phone.
Immediately, my mobile phone when beeping non-stop with messages flooding in and was so annoying that I turned it to silence mode.
In a short while, my sms memory was full and to no surprise, my gmail is full too.
gosh. How did he manage to fill up my mailbox?
After an hour long of downloading all my mobile and email messages into my hard drive, I went up to the major international newspaper to update myself.

There were 2 news that stood out.
The first one was Nichola's works in NYC, where the white heart shape was soon spotted from a tourist helicopter ride and made headlines as nobody (at least when it was reported) knew who did that.
Of course within days, it was eventually track to Nicholas and his proposal.

Then that incident.
They had a video on youtube for that.
How on earth they got a video?!?! On YOUTUBE??

But the video did stir up a huge fuss out of it.
Nicholas's popularity rate and fell and mine had gone up.
When I saw the numbers, I couldn't myself but burst out laughing.

Then there was a knock on the door, which was already slightly ajar.
"What's so funny?" Kunda asked, and he allowed himself in.
He saw the poll numbers and eyes widen.

"This -- made you laugh?" He asked, confused.
"Kunda," I replied.
"People like us need to learn when to take a step back and laugh at our foolishness." I said, standing up from my chair and pat him on his back.

"So, what do you need from me?" I asked. Kunda turned his attention to his intention.
"That fella." He said, paused slightly.
"You know, that English fella." He added.
"Gareth, you mean?" I replied.

"What about him?" I replied, plonking myself on the couch.
He sat down beside me.
"I just want to know what is going on." Kunda asked.
I shifted in my seat, and set the teacup down.
It's time, my heart tells me.

"Kunda," I said as I turned to face him and held his hands.
"Qiuru is in love with Gareth." I said gently.
"And-erm," I added, and paused for a second.
"Qiuru is expecting his child. They are getting married soon." I lied.

Kunda eyes widen. He freed his hands from me.
"Qiuru is pregnant?" He said, crestfallen.
"I should have known." He replied.
"Please keep it a secret." I added. He lifted his face.
"I promise." He replied.

Just then, Gareth knocked on my door.
Kunda stood up and rush towards him.
"Kunda!" I yelled. His fist almost flew to Gareth's face.
"You better treat her nice." Kunda replied and walked out.

Gareth was confused. Kunda and I spoke in Mandarin and Gareth knew no Mandarin.
"What was that?" He asked.

"I just told him that you and Autumn are together. He is backing out." I replied.
He nodded, slightly confused.

I look out the door. Kunda is nowhere to be seen.
I just hope he keeps his promise.
