Priscilla: Hot Chocolate

After helping Qiu with the preparations, we had dinner at the marine terrace. Mum and dad joined us. Dinner was a casual affair that night and we soon went on to do our own stuff.

I went back to my room and set up the balcony table to start work. Then Jerry walk in.
"Hello," I said.
"Is there some reason why you're here?" I added.
"Oh, nothing. Can I sit down?" He asked, pointing to the chair.
"Sure. Go ahead." I said. He sat down. For a very long time.

I think it was about one hour later,

"DONE!" I exclaimed, and looked up from my work.
"Argh!!" I shouted, shocked to see him still sitting down there looking at me. Turning composed, I said;
"Sorry." I said.
"You have been sitting here all this while?" I asked.
"Ya." He said.
"Okay..." Dumbfounded. In need of conversation topic.
"Let's go downstairs..." I said, while clearing my drawings.
"Okay." He replied. Together we went downstairs to have a drink.
"Hot chocolate?" I offered.
"Sure." He said.
"Okay." I replied, and I made some. We drank silently.

We seem to have nothing to talk.

"So, how's work?" I asked.
"Great." He replied.
"I.." We both said at the same time.
"You go first." He said.
"No, you." I said.
"Ok." He said.
"............I just want to tell you that I had a wonderful time here." He said.
"Oh.." I said, "You're welcome." I added.
"How about you?" He asked.
"Oh, erm.. I'm very happy you guys are around. Makes the place more lively." I said.

What am I saying? I just couldn't get those words outta my mouth!!

Just in that moment, we caught each others' eyes.. We laughed, and started to converse. Soon the night sets in, we both went to bed, but we know we made the first step.
